Health and Safety protocols
Montanya spa re-opened on June 19, 2020. However, this can only take place with proper development and implementation of COVID-19 preparedness plans. Please know our number one priority is to create a positive and SAFE environment for you when you decide to visit us the next time. We ask that guests and staff stay at home if they are feeling unwell, displaying symptoms, or recovering from an illness.
Although we got the green light to open, there will be some changes made, so we can do our part to keep everyone safe.
At this time, we are implementing:
- All guests and staff must wear a mask while visiting the spa
- All staff members and guests will undergo wellness checks and symptom screenings, including a temperature check with a touch-less thermometer before entering the spa
- Some amenities may temporarily be closed per government guidelines - when booking, inquire about open amenities
- Please maintain a physical distance of 6-feet from other guests in the common areas
- Wash your hands upon entering the spa facility
- Contact-free payments allow you to place a credit card on file and check out seamlessly without ever reaching for your wallet (apple pay, google pay and TAP pay is also available)
- Locker assignments will be allocated to allow for physical distancing
- Clients have an option to change or be taken straight for the appointment
- Magazines and water station will be temporarily removed, per government guidelines
- Increased hours for our cleaning staff to continually sanitize and disinfect commonly touched surfaces, door handles, and shared amenities throughout the day
- Additional hand sanitizers for both guests and staff, along with sanitizing spray in locker room and all common areas
- We accept clients with appointments only. No walk-ins at this time.
Sanitation:
The guidance for personal care services sanitation rules and regulations for the disinfection of implements, stations, etc. are set forth by the California Department of Public Health (https://covid19.ca.gov/pdf/expanded-personal-services.pdf). We will be following all rules and regulations by the state that include cleaning / sanitizing / disinfecting surfaces and high touch point areas multiple times per day. We have extended appointment times to allow for proper sanitation. At Montanya spa, we have always used EPA (hospital-grade disinfectant required by the board) and will continue to do so along with other approved disinfectants that kill bacteria on surfaces.
Social Distancing:
Please abide by the State Mandating Social Distancing rule of 6 feet or more at all times (for both indoor and outdoor location) when applicable.
Mask Requirements:
All clients are required to wear masks. This is a requirement from the California Department of Public Health and Board of Barbering and Cosmetology.
Wash Your Hands or use Hand Sanitizer:
All clients are required to wash their hands with soap and warm water (minimum of 20 seconds) or use hand sanitizer at the Hand Sanitizing Station when entering the spa. Hands should also be sanitized at the end of your service. Hand sanitizer will be placed throughout the spa to encourage hand sanitization. Your service provider will wear a mask, face shield and gloves when the services requires so.
Health Check:
As always, we ask that guests and staff stay home if they are feeling unwell, displaying symptoms, or recovering from an illness. We will be taking contactless temperature checks upon arrival of clients. Each client will be required to sign a COVID-19 Informed consent form. All our employees and practitioners will have their temperature checked upon arrival each day.
Personal Items:
Please leave any non-essential personal items at home, or at best in the trunk of your car. Allow personal items to your phone and form of payment. Contactless payment method is a preferred form of payment at this time.
